We design leachate extraction and recirculation systems, using pneumatic and electric pumps. Whatever your needs, we can design a system that will fulfil your requirements. We have developed innovative designs, such as our combined gas / leachate recirculation system:
We designed the system it and installed it at Ongar
Landfill site. It utilises 125mm pin wells with 2” steel casing. 36 pin wells
were installed in the landfill, utilising the vibrator technique perfected by
Landfill Pipe and Construction. These were connected in to a purpose built
manifold system using 6 off 63mm lines, graded such that there is a fall from
the manifold to the wells, generally as our schematic drawing (see below).
The system is designed for optimum control of leachate into the landfill site,
together with optimum control of the gas taken from the site. It is possible to
recirculate leachate into any individual line whilst extracting gas from the
others, or vice versa. A period of time of approx 1 hour (may vary from site to
site depending on waste type) should be given before extracting gas after
re-circulating leachate, to allow an leachate in the feed lines and wells to
dissipate into the waste. The pressure gauges fitted into the manifold are
