The
introduction of IPPC replacing site licenses has brought a raft of changes
through to the development and operation of landfill infrastrucure. Landfill
operators (and subcontractors operating power generation on their sites) are now
required to comply with all aspects of the IPPC, which in itself refers to the
Environment Agency guidance on the management of landfill gas
(LFTGN03).
One of the requirements under this guidance is that pipe work, drilled wells,
leachate chambers and pinwells are installed under Construction Quality
Assurance (CQA) meaning that the installation quality is verified and certfied.
Landfill Pipe and Construction are qualified and authorised to provide such
services.

Key Benefits of CQA
You are verifying that what you asked for in the specification has been
installed (i.e depth of wells, type of pipe etc) - giving you better value for
money
You free up your Engineer to cover other sites or duties, rather than
standing on site watching wells being drilled or pipe being installed
With a good CQA report, you have documentation that is of technical
use in the future (i.e well co-ordinates, slotted depths to OS levels etc)
Why use us?
Drawings
We provide as built drawings of the wells, pipe work systems etc with
our reports
Photographs
We take dated and timed photographs of every aspect of the
installation, proving to you and the EA that the work was done as it was
meant to be done. If required, we can also provide video evidence.
Clear Pricing
You pay for the days that we are on site - this includes the CQA plan
prior to the job commencing, and the CQA report on completion
